Barrington 8th graders who are interested in playing high school lacrosse next year should consider the Lacrosse America Spring League -- 4/7 through 6/9. Practices on Monday's and Wednesday (4/7 - 6/9) and games on the weekend. All at the Barrington Park District.
Lacrosse America, in conjunction with local park districts and lacrosse clubs, will be coordinating the areas biggest and best spring travel league for players of all experience levels. Lacrosse America is an organization that has been dedicated to promoting and expanding lacrosse in the Chicago area for over 19 years. Teams will be grouped by grade and ability level, so the league is ideal for both beginning and experienced players. Program emphasis will be on skill development, teamwork and sportsmanship. All players will receive custom team uniforms including reversible tank tops and shorts with sublimated graphics. Each participant will need all necessary equipment, which can be rented or purchased from any Lacrosse America retailer.

Grade 8 (Seniors "A" & "B"): *Tryout required to be considered for Senior "A" team.
Two practices a week and games each weekend. Players will learn about the sport and develop their skills through drills, team building activities, scrimmages and games. This program will have upper and lower divisions; players will be placed depending on skill, attitude, and knowledge of the game. Both levels are ideal to learn and develop the skills necessary to play lacrosse. Any player who is not chosen for the "A" team, or chooses not to try out for the "A" team will be placed on Senior "B".
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE EQUIPMENT ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE PROGRAM; EQUIPMENT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THE FIELD.
